Happy Monday lovelies!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as I had. Nothing special just nice and quiet with a little excitement. =)
Anyway, you probably saw this video by now but I thought of posting it since Halloween is only 2 months away. Okay, okay, it does not make sense, I'm still posting it anyway. ha ha
Warning: Not for the faint of heart! And by no means trying to disrespect the king of Pop.
Almost got me fooled. It was apparently the shadow of a CNN worker/crew. I guess it would have been so much better if he was moon walking don't you think? ha ha ha
Enjoy the beginning of a great week my lovelies!

Look: Royal Blue and post birthday part 2

What I am wearing:
drop waist dress: BCBG Max Azria
shoes: Calvin Klein
accessories: F21 and Express
purse: Banana Republic

I like this dress but it does not look flattering in this picture.
I had my post birthday bash last Wednesday at (where else) my favorite wine bar and bistro - The Grape. We had wine tasting featuring Chilean wines and various appetizers. They had set up the tables at the cellar separate from the main bar. I had so much fun! As usual, the food was delish and complemented the wines perfectly!
The setup...
Just a couple of the Chilean wines we tasted...
Baked Brie in a rich pastry crust with stone fruit chutney...
Classic Dulce de Leche and Olive Oil Crème Brulee trio...
I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends...
Happy Wednesday lovelies!

Look: Ink on Paper and an Award!
I was floored by what I got in my email the other night from the awesome, soooo cool and very talented Dakota of Dakota's Journal.
Thank you Dakota! I love, love, love, love it!!!!
Check out his blog to see more of his awesome work!
Click
to see the inspiration for my ink on paper look ;-) ...
I also got this award a while back from the darling Little Bow Prep whose blog I adore...
As a rule, I need to list 10 random facts about me:
1. I'm a techie (nice way of saying a geek). I have an engineering undergrad and I work for an IT company. BUT, I am a geek who loves shoes and fashion ha ha
2. I have 2 awesome siblings, who I love to death and are my best friends. We all live in different states so it's a little difficult to get us all three in the same picture.

**update: wearing 3D glasses here (@Disney World)
3. I'm a member of the local church choir. I love to sing, I can remember most lyrics but I am bad at remembering the artist or the title of the song. =P
4. I love watching movies. Friday nights are usually movie nights. Recent movies we saw were GI Joe (I surprisingly enjoyed) and The Time Traveler's wife which was just okay for me.
5. I have an extreme personality. I can be very social or withdrawn. Is that typical of a Leo?
6. I'm a product of an all girl's Catholic school until high school.
7. I enjoy pilates and Zumba. After all the eating I did this week, I definitely need to start working out again.
8. I'm almost 5'11" tall when I'm wearing heels.
9. I enjoy throwing and hosting parties.
10. I love the beach but I don't like the sun. Weird isn't it? Specially since I lived in the tropics most of my life and migrated to the sunshine state where the beach is only a few minutes drive. =)
I am passing this award to the following (not just) cute and uber cool blogs:
1. Dakota's Journal
2. Bon Bon Rose
3. Savvy Mode
4. Just a Girl in the City
5. Oh Mishka
6. Fashion Bananas
7. Breakfast at Saks
8. Midtown Girl9. Marian Kihogo
10. As I was Saying
The rule:
• Each blogger must post these rules.
• Each blogger must list ten random facts/habits about themselves and pass the award on to other recipients.
• The award recipients then need to do the same.
• Don't forget to leave a comment telling the recipients about the award!
Thank you Dakota! I love, love, love, love it!!!!

Look: Boho chic and Birthday Part 1!
This weekend was my birthday. I had nothing special planned on that day but to relax at home and spend the morning volunteering for the Free Kids Science day, an outreach project by SWE of which I am a member.
I had so much fun working with the kids. You can see all their faces beam up in excitement and amazement on all the projects Caitlin (the girl scout who spearheaded this event ) had prepared for them.
Armed with my Redbox rentals and munchies, I was ready to plop myself in the couch. Seriously, when you get to a certain age ;-), you just don't feel like celebrating anymore. I seriously wanted to stop the hands of time!
But, I caved in and agreed to go on a dinner. I'm glad I did 'cause I had so much fun!
What I am wearing:
dress: BCBG Max Azria(also here)
shoes: Christian Louboutin (also here)
wood bead purse: Ann Taylor
chunky gold braided bracelet: BeBe

This dress had a brown sash with it but I didn't feel like wearing it. I think it looked so much better without it.
To those of you who are new to my blog, my posts almost always include food in it =). We had dinner at J Alexander's (one of my fave restaurants):
And of course wine, more food and dessert with beautiful music at the Grape:
I have been eating a lot lately I will need to start swimming again to get me to fit into my other clothes! Well, at least until after this month. What? There are more eating planned this week! lol

Look: Asymmetrical top and Girl's Night Out
I took this outfit post the night before our night-out while I was trying to figure out what to wear. I knew I didn't have time to go back home to change so I had to bring whatever I will be wearing. It took me a while to decide until I remember about this top that I got from Nordstrom that I haven't worn even once!

What I am wearing:
top: Nordstrom (also here)
jeans: Antik
shoes: Calvin Klein
accessories: Express
bag: Leonello Borghi

As expected, I left my necklace =(
Anyhoo, the ladies and I are celebrating 2 significant events in my life - one being the graduation and another major change ;-) .
First Stop, J Alexander's. For starters we had their Mexico City Spinach Con Queso served with tortilla chips and our cocktails. For dinner, we all had steak! Ha ha I guess we were all hungry that night =)
"B" and I had the Martini Au Chocolat which is a decadent blend of Godiva dark chocolate liqueur, Grey Goose Vodka and a splash of French Vanilla. Sooo good! While "O" had a Pomegranate Martini which she really loved as well.
Next stop, dessert at the Grape. A wine tasting bar which has very good desserts and live music on Fridays and Saturday nights. The music was live acoustic that night which provided for a relaxing evening perfect for girls' chit chats.
Did I mention the dessert was to die for? We ordered their Chocolate Ganache Cake which is made of decadent chocolate ganache and chocolate sponge cake with roasted hazelnuts and fresh berry coulis. Yummy!
We had such a wonderful time I can't wait for the next!
How was your weekend lovelies? Tell me, I want to know!!

After 12 weeks of compressed summer classes - it is finally over. I received my MBA degree on Friday! So, excuse my Harry Potter get-up as I share this picture with you lovelies. BTW, whoever came up with the cap obviously needs some fashion advice haha!

Now, for the most important part of this post:
Thank you all so much for all the sweet comments and the encouraging e-mails I have received while I have been busy going through the last leg of my MBA. It made me smile and have lifted me when I feel tired. Thank you all so much!!!
Finally, please indulge me by allowing me to dedicate this achievement to my mom and dad who have instilled the value of education to my sisters and I. Thank you Mom and Dad for all the support and love you have showered us, this is for both of you!
So, I'm raising my peach bellini to you all and "Cin Cin - salute!"
