Someone was out there meant just for me.

All my prayers were answered, I got the confirmation I was looking for. All the 3 signs I prayed for were given - the flowers at work, the single long stemmed red rose when he picked me up at the airport, the church visit that Sunday morning.

Misc: Oh the joy of shoes!

Happy New Year lovelies! I hope you all had a great New Year celebration as we have.

Finally, all the madness of shopping and rushing to find the perfect gifts, wrapping, cooking and tons of eating is over! I loved all the gifts I got for Christmas - everything with meaning and purpose =). However, there are small stuff that just spelled M-E!

So, I would like to share this present from our little munchkins that made... my heart beat fast... my eyes open wide in delight... my hands shake with excitement when I opened it!

Okay, maybe I am being too melodramatic but I really love my present!

Each day for 365 days I get a different designer shoe! From Chanel to Choo to Louboutin to Manolo - you name it!

This will hopefully satisfy my shoe craving for this year since I have vowed to save and refrain from shoe shopping as my new year's resolution. The operative word being - REFRAIN. Hey, I live in the real world - I know my limits lol

Oh, and what a way to start the New Year than to receive these gorgeous roses from GG! Okay, all together now - "Awwwwwww"... lol

Look: Biker Chic(k).... and Perricone Give away winner

GG and his dad have Harleys. They ride every once in a while specially when the weather is nice. Dad brought his bike over for thanksgiving and so we decided to go on a ride. Yes, my lovelies, I agreed to ride on a Harley. Scared as hell, I stalled and thought of every possible excuse I could come up with so as not to get on the bike with GG. From fixing my hair, to eating, to picking on my food, to you name it! Alas, I run out of reason and off we went...

I don't have riding clothes so I had to come up with the best outfit I could find to look like a biker chick. ;-)

Misc: Thankful for...

This was our first thanksgiving together and proud to say we made it! We did everything from scratch - from the Turkey to the rib roast to the side dishes and even all the deserts - apple pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, pecan pie...

Although my week was a bit crappy due to sinus infection, I have a lot to be thankful for this year...

• My family - daddy, mommy, my sisters, nephew and niece, brother-in-law - for their unconditional love and support
• My GG - who never ceases to amaze me and make me feel how truly blessed I am... not enough words to say how happy and thankful I am to Him for you...

Head Over Heels...

No, I am not talking about my shoes or anyone else's for that matter. So, read on and bear with me just for today...

I have never shared the romantic aspect of my personal life with you lovelies for several reasons. I am a very private person despite the fact that I am showing my face to you all and sharing the little bits about myself when I get tagged. I also do not have the courage to express it out there. Thus, I admire and live through a couple of my fave bloggers - Liz of It's Unbeweavable and Midtown Girl for their openness and honesty. And really, there was not much to share - I have not been in a romantic relationship for a while. Period. I got used to being alone and enjoying being single, finding the old me and getting comfortable with it. I never knew moving on would be a good thing. It was. It is.

Well, I cannot contain my other new found happiness. My prayer answered. =) Life is good. HE always has plans for you even if you think otherwise. He showed mine through my GG. My God's Gift. I don't mean to sound spiritual but that's how I feel - blessed. So mushy and cheesy - I know! I warned you to bear with me, didn't I? LOL

Will he make an appearance in my blog? Probably not. But you may hear from me every now and then talking about him. About us. =)

Il Postino (The Postman)

I was going through my ipod and found the soundtrack of Il Postino. I love this movie. It was nominated in the 1995 Academy as the Best Picture of the Year. The characters, the story of friendship, love and life. Pablo Neruda is such a brilliant poet. Check out one of his poems that I adore. The narration below was by Andie Garcia and Julia Roberts. A few of his other poems are also in the soundtrack. Among the other narrators are Pablo Neruda himself, Madonna, Ethan Hawke, Wesley Snipes, Glenn Close, Ralph Fiennes, Willem Dafoe among others.
