Melbourne's Street Art

My husband and I started the new year with a trip to Melbourne. We wanted to have a feel of what the city has to offer. After all, it was named the most livable city in the world for two consecutive years now.

The city is known as "one of the world's great street art capitals" for its unique expression of art as seen on its numerous street stencils, paste-ups and murals. One such art is this street stencil that is found in Hosier Lane, opposite the Federation Square.

Noticed how even Movida, the Spanish tapas bar in the corner has stencil drawings in its glass windows.

That's me trying to be "artsy".

The whole lane was full of art and if you are an artsy person, it will definitely be a feast to the eyes.

We were told that they change the stencils every so often that its worth going back anytime you're around the area.  There's a lot more of this kind of art in the whole city and the locals are very proud of how diverse the art scene is.

So if ever you plan to visit Melbourne, don't forget to drop by the small lanes and streets and you're sure in for a treat. Right Bart!? =)

Hope you are all having a great week lovelies!

xoxo,
Coco
