Look: Asymmetrical top and Girl's Night Out

I took this outfit post the night before our night-out while I was trying to figure out what to wear. I knew I didn't have time to go back home to change so I had to bring whatever I will be wearing. It took me a while to decide until I remember about this top that I got from Nordstrom that I haven't worn even once!

What I am wearing:
top: Nordstrom (also here)
jeans: Antik
shoes: Calvin Klein
accessories: Express
bag: Leonello Borghi

As expected, I left my necklace =(

Anyhoo, the ladies and I are celebrating 2 significant events in my life - one being the graduation and another major change ;-) .

First Stop, J Alexander's. For starters we had their Mexico City Spinach Con Queso served with tortilla chips and our cocktails. For dinner, we all had steak! Ha ha I guess we were all hungry that night =)

"B" and I had the Martini Au Chocolat which is a decadent blend of Godiva dark chocolate liqueur, Grey Goose Vodka and a splash of French Vanilla. Sooo good! While "O" had a Pomegranate Martini which she really loved as well.

Next stop, dessert at the Grape. A wine tasting bar which has very good desserts and live music on Fridays and Saturday nights. The music was live acoustic that night which provided for a relaxing evening perfect for girls' chit chats.

Did I mention the dessert was to die for? We ordered their Chocolate Ganache Cake which is made of decadent chocolate ganache and chocolate sponge cake with roasted hazelnuts and fresh berry coulis. Yummy!

Look: Hot Coral Day

I missed you all!

I am tied up in the next 5 weeks so my post will still be minimal. The cause of my "busy-ness"? I am taking the last class to graduate this summer for my MBA. I have asked my sister Coco to post whenever she can in my absence. I have so much to post/share with so little time.

Anyhoo, summer just started but our heat temp is already in the low 100s! Yup, soooo hot!

Then met with another couple and their kids for dinner at Mitchell's Fish Market. Oh yes, more eating. The little one is my god daughter:

If you like seafood, then you should try Mitchell's Shanghai Sampler. A medley of salmon, shrimps and scallops on top of rice and spinach cooked Shanghai style. Yum-0!

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer and not as hot as ours in the sunny state.

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Weekend Recap:

***

We saw the Night at the Museum - Battle of the Smithsonian and I liked it. The movie was both funny and very entertaining. I loved the little Einsteins, the cupids and The Thinker and the pharaoh Kamurah both played by Hank Azaria. He is very funny - his accent is hilarious! If you want to be entertained you should go see it.

***

We heard about this new Vietnamese restaurant and finally had to go there after the movie for dinner. The decor was mediocre, the service was fast and friendly. We ordered Pho Ga (chicken noodle) and Pho Dac Biet (the house special) which were both good.

Pho was served with fresh basil, bean sprouts, lemon wedges and jalapeno slices.

Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA western conference last Thursday and last night was the eastern conference finals. The Orlando Magic won and I can't wait for the finals to start!

Disney Land vs. Disney World! har har har

I like Kobe and I also like Dwight - so confused on who to cheer for when the game starts!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend lovelies!

Hi lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I sure did =)

We watched Wicked on Saturday and it rocked! Glinda (Helene Yorke) and Elphaba (Marcie Dodd) were rock stars! The play was based on the novel by Gregory Maguire with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Listen to some of the amazing music here.

Popular - Wicked

We almost didn't see it because the tickets were sold out and I had to scour the internet for it. I like watching plays but this by far was the most fun I have seen. I have always loved the Wizard of Oz as a kid and have probably watched it a million times. But this play has given me a different perspective on the witches of Oz. Wicked is definitely on top of my list. If you haven't seen it and have the chance, do see it. It is well worth it!

After the play, we went to dinner at The Brick (our new favorite dinner place) where everything was scrumptuous as usual. This time instead of getting my favorite Creme Brulee I ordered the Chocolate Torte. I was not disappointed. It was heavenly!

Sunday, I could not be with my mom so I called her and we talked for at least an hour. Oh how I miss her =( .

We then had late lunch and then the ladies and I went shopping. How was your weekend?

Happy Monday lovelies!

Leonello Borghi Luna Purse

I've heard about Leonello Borghi and his creations from a guy friend. He has one of his guy totes (yup a tote) and the leather was so soft and luxurious. Intrigued by how his collection for women looked like, I went to his website and loved the Luna purse. It has the Birkin look but at a fraction of the price. I searched for stores that carries it here but was unsuccessful. I later found out that his bags for women are only sold from exclusive boutiques.

So, I was surprised to see it on Gilt today. This will be my first one so I am really excited. If the quality is the same as my friend's tote then I know I made a good choice. Besides, the Gilt price was too good to resist.

The Spring/Summer '09 collection of the Luna purse comes in 3 colors - green, white and black. I wanted the green one but the practical side of me thought the white will be more classic and the color will be spot on since the color online may not truly represent the actual one. (Truth is I kinda wish I got the green one instead of the white =( oh well )

Luna Medium Tote

What do you think of the purse lovelies? Do you have one (or more) of Leonello Borghi's creations? Do you love it? Hate it? I'd love to hear what you think.

Happy Friday lovelies!

Update: To those of you asking, this is what the green purse looks like.
